Zijie (Aniki) Zhuo
Gameplay Engineer & Game System Engineer
I’m Zijie (Aniki) Zhuo, a gameplay and game systems engineer based in Los Angeles.
I earned my B.S. in Computer Science (Games) from the University of Southern California and am currently pursuing an M.S. in Computer Science through USC’s Progressive Degree Program (Accelerated Master’s Pathway), with an expected graduation date of December 2027.
My recent experience includes game client development at Tencent IEG and cross-functional USC Games projects in Unreal Engine 5 and Unity. I focus on gameplay architecture, multiplayer systems, procedural generation, debugging tools, save/load, and production-style iteration.
I enjoy building systems that are reliable for engineers, tunable for designers, and easy to debug.
Some of the games that inspire me: Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, Hearthstone, Overwatch, Elden Ring, Cyberpunk 2077, To the Moon series, Where Winds Meet.
